4. Causes & Root-causes to Medical Conditions
◉ Gut disbiosys & acidosis
What it is:
‘Gut Disbiosys’ is disruption to the gut-microbiome in the gut resulting in an imbalance in the microbiota, abnormalities in their metabolic activities & functions, and a shift in their local distribution. ‘Gut Acidosis’ is an over-acidification of the fluids in the gut.
Root-causes / Sources:
Acidic diet, Nutrient deficient diet, Lack of essential nutrient supplementation.
Mechanism:
A on-going diet that is acidic and nutrient-deficient, can leads to poor gut health. Prolonged poor gut health can cause fermentation of food in the gut which invariably results in Disbiosys & Acidosis in the gut.
Prolonged gut disbiosys & acidosis can cause increased inflammation in the gut, which can spread to other parts of the body, including the arteries in the heart. Chronic inflammation in the heart-arteries can contribute to the development of atherosclerotic plaques. In addition, Gut dysbiosis & acidosis can lead to an increased migration of macrophages and an augmented formation of foam cells in cholesterol plaques, which is a pro-atherosclerotic mechanism.
Gut disbiosys & acidosis can lead to impaired cholesterol elimination and impaired cholesterol metabolism in the liver and alter the bile acids, and consequently effect cholesterol levels.
Prolonged gut disbiosys & acidois causes chronic inflammation, which triggers abnormal immune reactions and negatively influences nervous regulation and consequently results in insomnia.
◉ Toxins & Heavy-metals
What it is: ‘Toxins' are any substances and chemical compounds that basically cause hindrance or malfunction to normal body processes or cause damage to any organ. 'Heavy metals' are a group of metals & metalloids that have relatively higher density and are toxic to the body even at ppb (parts-per-billion) levels.
Root-causes / Sources: Toxins in consumer-food items, Toxic environment at work.
Mechanism:
Toxins and heavy-metals in the body can lead to inflammation, oxidative stress, and interference in carbohydrate metabolism and protein synthesis, and endothelial dysfunction, which cause damage to the heart’s blood vessels. In addition, heavy-metals can inactivate enzymes involved in antioxidant defense mechanisms, leading to increased oxidative stress.
Prolonged inflammation, oxidative stress, and interference in carbohydrate metabolism and protein synthesis, and endothelial dysfunction, can invariably cause chronic damage to the heart’s blood vessels and induces formation and accumulation of plaque and calcification in those damaged areas in the heart’s blood vessels.
On-going formation and accumulation of plaque & calcification in the heart’s blood vessels, ultimately causes hindrance to blood flow to the heart and consequently results in ischemic heart disease.
◉ Metabolic acidosis
What it is: Metabolic acidosis is a condition where there is an accumulation of acid in the body, leading to a decrease in blood pH and decrease in systemic oxygenation.
Root-causes / Sources: Acidic diet, Toxic work environment, Lack of adequate muscular motion, Mitochondrial dysfunction.
Mechanism:
Metabolic acidosis & Low oxygen can have several effects on the cardiovascular system, ultimately contributing to or causing ischemic heart disease. Here are some possible mechanisms:
Vascular function - Metabolic acidosis could affect vascular function on several levels, including the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, adrenergic tone, and nitric oxide bioavailability. These effects could lead to vasoconstriction, decreased blood flow, and increased blood pressure, all of which could contribute to the development of ischemic heart disease.
Cardiac remodeling - Metabolic acidosis is associated with cardiac remodeling, including hypertrophy, fibrosis, and cell death1. This remodeling could lead to changes in the structure and function of the heart, ultimately contributing to ischemic heart disease.
Myocardial contractility - Acidosis can decrease myocardial contractility, or the ability of the heart muscle to contract and pump blood3. This could lead to decreased cardiac output, reduced blood flow, and ultimately ischemic heart disease.
◉ Essential-nutrients deficiency
What it is: Essential nutrient deficiency is low levels of one or more specific nutrients that are necessary for maintaining the condition and facilitating functions of organs in the body. Those nutrients can be within proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and salts.
Root-causes / Sources: Nutrient-deficient diet, Lack of full spectrum essential-nutrient supplementation.
Mechanism:
Deficiencies in certain essential nutrients can affect the cardiovascular system and contribute to ischemic heart disease through different mechanisms.
Magnesium: Magnesium is involved in a wide range of cellular processes, including energy metabolism, protein synthesis, and DNA synthesis. It also plays an important role in regulating heart rhythm and blood pressure. Deficiencies in magnesium have been linked to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, including ischemic heart disease.
Vitamin D: Low levels of vitamin D have been associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, including ischemic heart disease, hypertension, and heart failure. Vitamin D helps regulate blood pressure, improve endothelial function, and reduce inflammation.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C is required for the production of nitric oxide, which helps dilate blood vessels and maintain normal blood flow. Deficiencies in vitamin C can lead to endothelial dysfunction, which is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Vitamin C helps prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, which is a key factor in the development of atherosclerosis; deficiencies in vitamin C can lead to an increased risk of atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease.
B Vitamins: B vitamins are involved in homocysteine metabolism, and deficiencies in these vitamins can lead to elevated homocysteine levels, which are associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
Vitamin A: Vitamin A is involved in the regulation of inflammation, oxidative stress, and lipid metabolism, all of which are important factors in the development of cardiovascular disease.
Thiamine, carnitine, selenium, niacin, and taurine: These are essential micronutrients, deficiencies of which may contribute to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, and ultimately to ischemic heart disease.
Betaine, Folate: Betaine is an amino acid that is involved in the metabolism of homocysteine, a compound that is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Deficiencies in betaine can lead to an accumulation of homocysteine, which can damage blood vessels and increase the risk of atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease. Folate is required for the metabolism of homocysteine, and deficiencies in folate can lead to an accumulation of homocysteine in the blood. High levels of homocysteine are associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis and ischemic heart disease.
◉ Hormonal imbalance
What it is: Hormonal imbalance is simply a condition wherein there is either too much or too little of one or more hormones in the blood and in the interstitial-fluid environment in organs over extended periods of time.
Root-causes / Sources: Acidic diet, Nutrient-deficient diet, Age progression, Toxic environment at work.
Mechanism:There are several ways in which specific hormones can affect the cardiovascular system and contribute to ischemic heart disease. Here are some of the mechanisms.
Adrenaline and Noradrenaline Imbalances: Imbalances in both Adrenaline and Noradrenaline can increase heart rate and contractility, which can increase the workload of the heart and potentially lead to ischemic heart disease. Noradrenaline can cause blood vessels to narrow, which can increase blood pressure and potentially lead to ischemic heart disease.
Thyroid hormones: Thyroid hormones play a critical role in regulating cardiac function. Hypothyroidism, or low thyroid hormone levels, has been associated with an increased risk of heart disease.
ACTH and cortisol: The hypothalamus stimulates the pituitary gland to produce adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which stimulates cortisol production from the adrenal gland3. Chronic stress and elevated cortisol levels can contribute to the development of heart disease through various mechanisms, including increased blood pressure, inflammation, and insulin resistance.
Aldosterone and parathyroid hormone: There is evidence that parathyroid hormone (PTH) increases the secretion of aldosterone from the adrenal gland directly as well as indirectly by activating the renin-angiotensin system4. Elevated levels of aldosterone and PTH can contribute to the development of heart disease by affecting blood pressure, inflammation, and endothelial function.

PHASE 2: TREATMENT
The primary objectives of the treatment:
- Clear (or reduce to the minimal) accumulated plaque from coronary arteries; and, open-up new collateral capillaries to restore normal blood-flow to the heart.
- Treat all the root causes to plaque-formation, and thereby stop the on-going formation & accumulation of new plaque.
- Optimise the condition and function of all organs.
No one therapy or treatment modality can help to achieve these three primary objectives; an integration (combination) of various therapies is necessary for this; and this is called an Integrated & Holistic Treatment.
The following therapies were strategically integrated and administered to the patient:
IV Chelation therapy
