To Elaborate on that, When I entered into Heal Within® I was in a total mess as you can see in my treatment summary above. Aches, pains, discomforts; and trying various treatments that could not totally deliver me out of those diseases.
I found Heal Within by a popular documentary film by Ty Bollinger called "Truth about Cancer". What Dr Lee spoke in that documentary totally resonated with what I already learned; that is - healing most diseases comes down to just two keys: moving out all toxins from the body and replenishing the body with all essential nutrients. That's all.
I had a high level of mercury in my body, which was causing most of the diseases. The practitioners that I worked with in the past did use detoxification methods that were purposed to detoxify mercury, but somehow I was not getting the expected results.
When I met Dr Lee, he taught me that detoxification compounds need to be tailored to each patients specific case, and not a one size fits all.
He first took me through specialised medical tests to first get a comprehensive view of my specific body condition, and then tailored my treatment plan including the specific detoxification therapy for effective mercury detoxification.
Long story short, the treatment helped me recover until the point that I now feel like a 40 year-old, and eager to continue the optimisation part of the treatment here, and thereby grow younger to a 30 year-old and restart my mountain biking passion soon.
If you have any chronic disease, tried many approaches, frustrated by getting little to no results, and loosing hope, I am here to tell you that there is a healing light waiting for you here in Heal Within®.

4. Causes & Root-causes to Medical Conditions
◉ Toxins & Heavy-metals
What it is: ‘Toxins' are any substances and chemical compounds that basically cause hindrance or malfunction to normal body processes or cause damage to any organ. 'Heavy metals' are a group of metals & metalloids that have relatively higher density and are toxic to the body even at ppb (parts-per-billion) levels.
Root-causes / Sources: Toxins in consumer-food items, Dental fillings.
Mechanism:
Heavy metals, including lead, cadmium, and mercury, have been linked to the development of frozen shoulder. These metals can lead to joint damage and inflammation, which are potential causes of this condition. Additionally, the oxidative stress induced by these metals can result in cellular damage and mitochondrial dysfunction, both of which may play roles in the onset of frozen shoulder.
Allergic rhinitis is another condition that can be exacerbated by toxins and heavy metals. These substances can induce inflammation in the respiratory system, particularly the nasal passages. This inflammation can manifest as symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and itching. Furthermore, heavy metals have the potential to affect the immune system, leading to imbalances in immune responses. This can increase an individual's susceptibility to allergic reactions. Oxidative stress, caused by toxins and heavy metals, can damage cells, potentially worsening allergic rhinitis. Some research even suggests that heavy metals can promote the production of immunoglobulin E (IgE), a molecule involved in allergic reactions. Elevated levels of IgE can then contribute to the onset of allergic rhinitis. Moreover, heavy metals might enhance inflammation mediated by basophils, which can further contribute to the symptoms of this condition.
Insomnia is also linked to heavy metal toxicity. Such toxicity can lead to neurodegeneration, which in turn can disrupt the body's sleep-wake cycles. The oxidative stress caused by heavy metals can also disrupt normal cellular functions, including those in the brain that regulate sleep. This can contribute to insomnia. The toxic effects of these metals can disturb cell membranes, inhibit enzymes, and impact the functioning of neurons and neurotransmitters that regulate sleep. Exposure to metals like lead, cadmium, and mercury has also been associated with symptoms like fatigue and chronic pain, both of which can interfere with sleep quality.
Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) is another condition that can be influenced by heavy metals and environmental toxins. These substances can induce inflammation in the prostate gland, potentially leading to BPH. Some heavy metals, such as cadmium and chromium, have been shown to cause genotoxicity, which can lead to DNA mutations that contribute to BPH. For instance, lead has been shown to modify mechanisms that protect against calcification and damage tissue matrices, both of which can contribute to BPH. Oxidative stress from these substances can also damage cells in the prostate gland, further contributing to the development of this condition.
Exposure to toxic heavy metals can disrupt thyroid function, potentially leading to subclinical hypothyroidism. These metals can affect epigenetic mechanisms, leading to changes in gene expression that contribute to this condition. The oxidative stress and inflammation induced by heavy metals and environmental toxins can damage cells in the thyroid gland, further contributing to the onset of subclinical hypothyroidism.
◉ Hormonal imbalance
What it is: Hormonal imbalance is simply a condition wherein there is either too much or too little of one or more hormones in the blood and in the interstitial-fluid environment in organs over extended periods of time.
Root-causes / Sources: Toxic diet, Nutrient-deficient diet, Eroding teeth-fillings causing heavy-metal toxicity.
Mechanism:Frozen Shoulder link to hormonal imbalance --
The thyroid hormone, calcitonin, plays a significant role in the development of frozen shoulder. An imbalance in calcitonin can lead to tissue inflammation around the shoulder joint, compromising its connective tissue integrity. Additionally, an estrogen imbalance, which is vital for bone growth, can further intensify this inflammation and weaken the shoulder joint's connective tissues.
Allergic Rhinitis link to hormonal imbalance --
Hormonal imbalances can exacerbate allergic rhinitis by modifying the immune response, leading to increased inflammation. Specifically, estrogen enhances the function of antigen-presenting cells, pivotal in allergic diseases. This hormone can polarize T cells to type 2, amplifying allergic inflammation. Moreover, there's evidence linking thyroid hormones to the exacerbation of allergic rhinitis.
Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) link to hormonal imbalance --
BPH's development can be influenced by hormonal imbalances that disrupt the balance between cell growth and cell death. Androgens, like testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT), are central to BPH's development and are often targeted in its medical treatments. Estrogens also play a role, regulating the effects of androgens at the cellular level through estrogen receptors. Recent research indicates that not only low testosterone levels but also elevated estrogen levels might promote BPH. Additionally, changes in growth factors such as IGF, FGF, and TGF, combined with shifts in the prostate's steroid hormone environment, can influence BPH's development.
Subclinical Hypothyroidism link to hormonal imbalance --
Hormonal imbalances can lead to subclinical hypothyroidism by affecting the thyroid gland's function or the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis. Autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD) are a primary cause of this condition and have associations with allergic rhinitis. Furthermore, cortisol, a stress hormone, can influence the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis, potentially leading to this condition. Other hormonal deficiencies, including growth hormone, estrogen, and testosterone, have also been connected to subclinical hypothyroidism.
Receding Gums link to hormonal imbalance --
Hormonal imbalances, especially those involving estrogen and progesterone, can lead to receding gums. These hormones can alter blood flow to the gums and change how tissues respond to mouth plaque. Such hormonal fluctuations can heighten the risk of receding gums by affecting the body's response to toxins from plaque buildup and altering blood supply to the gums, leading to oral inflammation and gum recession.
◉ Essential-nutrients deficiency
What it is: Essential nutrient deficiency is low levels of one or more specific nutrients that are necessary for maintaining the condition and facilitating functions of organs in the body. Those nutrients can be within proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and salts.
Root-causes / Sources: Nutrient-deficient diet, Lack of full spectrum essential-nutrient supplementation.
Mechanism:
The patient's dietary habits revealed a concerning lack of several essential nutrients. These included Iron, Magnesium, Selenium, Zinc, Vitamins A, C, D3, B, E, and specific trace minerals. To compound the issue, the patient's deteriorating dental fillings introduced a heavy-metal toxicity, which further impaired the gut's ability to absorb nutrients effectively.
Frozen Shoulder link to nutritional deficiency -- Vitamin D is paramount for maintaining bone health and ensuring optimal muscle function. A deficiency in this vitamin can manifest as muscle pain and weakness, which, over time, can escalate to conditions like frozen shoulder. Magnesium, another vital nutrient, is responsible for muscle relaxation and nerve function. A lack of magnesium in the diet can lead to muscle spasms and cramps, which are known precursors to the development of frozen shoulder.
Allergic Rhinitis link to nutritional deficiency --
Vitamin C, renowned for its immune-boosting properties and its role in inflammation control, becomes a significant concern when its levels are low. A deficiency can lead to an overactive immune system, resulting in increased inflammation, a primary cause of allergic rhinitis. Similarly, deficiencies in Vitamin D, Iron, Magnesium, and Vitamin E can compromise the immune system. This weakened state makes the body more vulnerable to allergens, amplifying the risk of conditions like allergic rhinitis.
Insomnia link to nutritional deficiency --
Magnesium plays a pivotal role in the function of GABA, a neurotransmitter that promotes relaxation. When magnesium levels drop, symptoms like hyperactivity and restlessness can emerge, making it challenging to maintain a regular sleep pattern. Omega-3 fatty acids, which help regulate the neurotransmitter serotonin, can, when deficient, lead to decreased serotonin levels, a known contributor to insomnia. Furthermore, Vitamin D, which plays a role in maintaining regular sleep-wake cycles, can disrupt these cycles if its levels are not optimal.
Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH) link to nutritional deficiency --
Both Zinc and Selenium are integral for maintaining prostate health. A deficiency in either can lead to inflammation and subsequent enlargement of the prostate gland, a condition known as BPH. Omega-3 fatty acids, which play a role in managing inflammation, can exacerbate BPH symptoms when their levels are not adequate.
Subclinical Hypothyroidism link to nutritional deficiency --
Essential elements like Selenium, Iron, and Zinc play a crucial role in the production of thyroid hormones. A deficiency in any of these can result in an underactive thyroid gland, leading to subclinical hypothyroidism. Moreover, Vitamin D, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, can, when deficient, induce inflammation and damage in the thyroid gland.
Receding Gums link to nutritional deficiency --
Vitamin C is vital for collagen production, a primary component of gum tissue. A deficiency can lead to weakened gum tissue, increasing the risk of gum recession. Similarly, both Vitamin D and Zinc, vital for immune function, can cause inflammation and damage to the gums when deficient, further contributing to the problem of receding gums.
◉ Systemic acidosis
What it is: Systemic acidosis is a condition where there is an accumulation of acid in the body, leading to a decrease in blood pH and decrease in systemic oxygenation.
Root-causes / Sources: Acidic diet, Mitochondrial dysfunction.
Mechanism:
Systemic acidosis, a condition characterized by an increase in hydrogen ion concentration and a decrease in serum bicarbonate levels, has been linked to a myriad of health issues. This condition can lead to low-grade inflammation and chronic hypoxia. These are mechanisms of action that are closely related to several pathologies.
Frozen Shoulder and Muscle Fatigue --
One of the consequences of metabolic acidosis is muscle fatigue and weakness. These symptoms can significantly contribute to the development of frozen shoulder. The prolonged presence of systemic acidosis, combined with other underlying causes, can result in conditions like frozen shoulder and fibromyalgia.
Allergic Rhinitis and Lifestyle Factors --
Environmental and internal acids can initiate allergic-type reactions in the airways. This reaction can significantly contribute to the onset of allergic rhinitis. Furthermore, systemic acidosis can indirectly promote chronic overnutrition and a sedentary lifestyle. Both of these are recognized risk factors for allergic rhinitis.
Sleep Disorders and Neuroendocrine Dysregulation --
Systemic acidosis can lead to neuroendocrine dysregulation, which has significant implications for sleep regulation. Specifically, metabolic acidosis can disrupt the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) axis. This dysregulation can lead to disturbances in the sleep-wake cycle, making it challenging for individuals to fall or stay asleep. Moreover, the low-grade inflammation associated with systemic acidosis can interfere with regular sleep patterns, potentially leading to sleep disorders like insomnia.
Gallbladder Polyps and Lipid Metabolism --
Systemic acidosis is associated with various metabolic disturbances, including those related to lipid metabolism. These disturbances can promote the development of gallbladder polyps. It's worth noting that the risk factors for cholesterol polyp formation in the gallbladder are intricately linked to lipid metabolism. Elevated cholesterol or bile salt content in bile can lead to cholesterol clumps. These clumps can stick to the gallbladder wall, leading to the formation of cholesterol polyps.
In summary, systemic acidosis has far-reaching implications on our health. From muscle fatigue to sleep disorders and gallbladder issues, its impact is profound. It's essential to understand its role in conditions like fibromyalgia, benign prostate hyperplasia, hypothyroidism, and more, to develop effective treatment and preventive strategies.
